With the 22nd episode, the CC Fridays got back to its original format.

Ms. Akansha Chourasia, Primary Wing Mother Teacher, DPS Varanasi elucidated how learning coding at a very young age helps the students train their brains to think and understand systems, patterns and instructions. She shared that when children learn how to code they become more confident, learn to think critically/ analytically and improve the skills like communication, reasoning, problem- solving, representation, connectors, etc. She also discussed how simple worksheets based on sorting, sequencing, loops, algorithms(simple instructions), conditions, decomposition, debugging, etc., when introduced in the early years of school education teaches young brains how to learn and not just what to learn.

Ms. Nidhi Thakkar, Sr. Wing Business Studies, DPS Nashik, threw light on the importance of communication skills in the life of a student and how the class can be made interactive with the help of a wonderful tool called TEDEd. She shared how TEDEd provides an amazing platform to the students to share their ideas without the fear of being judged. She shared some glimpses of the journey of TEDEd at DPS, Nashik. The highlight of her presentation was the 4 Suits Feedback method which is an effective way giving feedback to the students about their talks. This not only enabled the students to accept critical feedback but also to learn to give constructive feedback which surely is the key to develop a growth mindset.

James Humes has said, " The art of communication is the language of leadership." The TEDEd in the classrooms of DPS will definitely help shape the leaders of tomorrow.

Ask "How will they learn best?" not "Can they learn?"

The 23rd episode of the CC Fridays was all about the Growth Mindset. The presentation was set in motion by Mr. Mukesh Shelat, Principal DPS, Varanasi, who explained the difference between the fixed and the Growth mindset.

The event was carried forward by Ms. Munmun Sengupta, an English Educator & COD, Middle Wing DPS Varanasi. She emphasised on why the growth mindset is an important virtue for teachers. She elaborated how with small efforts teachers can show a Growth mindset. Her focus was on helping the educators acquire the growth mindset. She also explained that self-reflection is an important tool for developing a growth mindset.

As it's said that teachers and students are the two sides of the same coin, it’s equally important to inculcate the growth mindset in the students. Mr. Dhananjay Singh, Physics & Math Educator, DPS Varanasi elucidated the ways in which this can be done. He shared some strategies such as Risk- free Environment, FAIL- First Attempt In Learning, Mentoring and Role Playing, Goal Setting, etc. for the same.

Napoleon Hill has said, “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” The presentation concluded with a video on resilience which portrayed that we are resilient when we bounce back from setbacks or obstacles. Struggles can help us grow stronger.

The 24th episode of the CC Fridays started off with a bang. Team DPS, Lava Nagpur came up with another rocking presentation. This time it was all about Radio DPS Lava, jahan infotainment ka hain pakka dava....

Ms. Anupama Sagdeo, Principal DPS, Lava Nagpur, set the ball rolling by sharing how Radio DPS Lava came into being. The members of Radio DPS Lava group shed light on the steps followed to create a podcast. They discussed in detail about selecting the theme for the podcast, planning, researching, scripting, conducting practice sessions, recording, editing, and the final step, airing.

They shared how the signature tune for the show was finalized. They also shared some tips and tricks that can be used to get better results while recording. The team discussed the challenges faced while working on the podcasts and the techniques to overcome these challenges every time.

The Radio DPS Lava podcasts aren't a bubble, they're a boom- and that boom is only getting louder. And to improve with each episode, the team seeks feedback from the audience and tries to incorporate the suggestions made by them.

Les Back quotes, "Podcasting might be thought of as a form of academic gift." Radio DPS Lava definitely stands true to its tagline by being the source of information along with entertainment.
