OBJECTIVE(S):

  • Apply multiple skills from the unit to solve real-world problems related to an 8-mile long trail.

  • Skills include building fractions from unit fractions, comparing unit fractions, and finding equivalent fractions.

MATH STANDARD(S): NC.3.MD.1: Tell and write time to the nearest minute.

OBJECTIVE(S):

  • Use an analog clock to tell and write time to the nearest minute.

  • Relate time on analog and digital clocks.

  • Express time as the number of minutes before the hour.

WEDNESDAY: Students will read a word problem and answer a series of questions designed to explore telling time to the nearest minute. (Lesson 20)

FRIDAY: Students will review for and test on Force and Motion.

POWER 45: Students will receive instruction on how to: Understand Division (Lesson 16 from Coach workbook).


INTERVENTION: Students will receive intervention on Telling Time by building their own clocks.
