General Information
Majidea Zanguebarica is a medium sized tree of up to 12 meters high. Most commonly found in riverine forests with high amounts of groundwater, found in Kenyan coastal areas. It is indigenous to East africa, belonging to the the Sapindaceae family.
Features of Majidea Zanguebarica that make it identifiable:
The Bark is dark grey and brown, very smooth
The Leaves are approximately 8 to 14 pairs of leaflets that are wedge shaped, tapering off into a narrow tip approximately 30- 20mm
The flowers are pink or red and elongated with 5 sepals and 7 stamens
The fruit are brown capsules with a reddish pink inside, with black oval shaped seeds
