Topic 1 : Definitions and importance of main potential in the area

Today's world has become more competitive. Specific occupations require different knowledge and skills both in theory and practice. Some are successful in their own careers. Knowledge from different sources needs to be researched in order to enhance abilities to meet the ever-changing times. Many factors are required in order to manage a successful career. One thing that people must do is to learn about the potential in different areas.

Globalism tends have independent occurrence and changes in the economy, society, population, energy, environment, technology, information, news information, and knowledge. Education is considered to be an important mechanism for developing the country’s resources so that it can move along and suits global communities. Because of this, it is vital to administrate education by placing importance on the geo-social, geo-politics, and any potential educational assets. It is also vital to advance toward education in order to develop a country on other paths and improve the capability of competition in the world’s community so that the quality of life and every part of the society can be improved.

All society’s components are seen as potentials, both inside and outside, which can be used to develop education. Put emphasis on managing education by holding to areas as standards of development and considering each of them according to their differences and requirements. The educational development then must pay attention to the areas by having their standards in accordance to their potentials, by improving people’s qualities of living so that they can have the better lives and create economic prosperity and country’s security. Another vital factor for the recent situation is that although Thailand has been able to improve Thais’ quality of life much better, its community cannot help falling into the challenging community due to the world’s quick and severe changes. The country’s survival now depends on increasing its competing capabilities and developing the country’s potential at the highest advantages. Thailand, consequently, must increase its competing potential to the world’s level. Unless it develops itself; the country would not be able to compete with its neighboring countries. The educational quality, then, has to be developed along with the competition’s capability not only in the ASEAN region, but all over the world because each of them, both developing and developed countries, all have opportunities. Education that equips people with high knowledge and vision will result in the country’s capability to stand and compete proudly among the world’s communities. Because of these reasons, education is important for the country’s development and its civilization must be based on education’s high-quality standards which can improve people in developing a country. Even though education begins to develop, it must analyze and consider the inner potential altogether with the world’s state at this moment. The educational process then must be a “Doo-Kwao-Doo-Rao” one, which means to understand oneself and the world so that one can move on without leaving others behind, be up-to-date to capitalism, and see-through one’s limitations because the objective of developing education is to create quality people for developing the country sufficiently and securely.

A state of managing the occupational education right now is very important because it improves the countrymen to be knowledgeable and skillful in earning a living, solving the unemployment problem, and promoting the community’s economy which the Ministry of Education has determined in the 2012 policies to improve five potentials of new five occupational classes so that the country can compete with other international communities within 2 years. “Understand oneself and others, and be up-to-date to compete at the world’s level”. The Ministry also has determined the task of improving education to develop people’s potential and capability so that they can earn occupations with higher and more secure incomes. By developing and improving education, people are becoming more responsible and moral for themselves, toward others, and for the community, considering learners’ environment and potential in order to develop them. As a result, the learning skill’s subject is the subject of developing learners’ abilities in studying on their own, using the learning standard, managing knowledge, and simple research, having the objectives of learners’ capabilities to determine their targets, plan for their education, select the learning resources, and manage their learning sensibly. These can be used as people’s leading tools in studying and earning a living according to the basic standard and developing 5 major potentials in 5 new occupational classes: Agriculture, industrial, commerce, creativity, and administration and service, to be continued in the 2012 Ministry’s policy.
