Processes and Steps in Problem Solving in of a Person Who is able to think

1. How to understand path and problems. One who is able to think believe that path or problem is natural, and it can be solved by thinking process. “Problem” according to the Royal Institute of Thailand means doubting things that are hard to understand, things that are unknown or questions such as problems in exercises or exam paper for evaluation. Problem may mean personal problems, family problems, work problems, problem with your boss, problem from environment and others.

Problem can happen in 2 ways: They are

1) Greed such as need, want to have and want to be. 

2) Struggling and seeking for something without stopping and it is not enough until the likes of corruption and doing something illegal happen that produce worries and becomes unhappy both in body and mind.

3) Anger and rage such as feud and hurt others, lie, betray, persuades and deceives to do bad things, and to make mistake thinking evil for good.

2. Step to find the cause of a problem. This step is part of the solving process. It is a step to analyze data that may be the cause of problem, on which origin can be both direct and indirect ways. There are many ways that we have to take to analyze the causes of problems. Two ways in analyzing the cause of problem are:

1) Analyzing data by taking variety of data to classify and grouping important data such as economic data, culture, environment, new technology, policy and direction in managing and technology factors. When taking these data to classify, causes of problems may vary from data of at least three things:

2) Analyzing situation by taking any conditions to develop in order to find the solution by trying to find the answer from these question words: What? Where? When? Why? How? For examples:

Which way causes the condition to be like this?

What environment that causes the condition to be like this?

Who cause the condition to be like this?

How does the damage happen?

Why does this cause happen?

Then sequence the importance of causes, find causes that make problem happen:

3. Step to analyze to offer the choice of problem. The step is to study and find data involve and have both sources of direct and indirect problems from at least 3 groups of data: Academic self-data, data about social and environment and synthesize those data to be the choice in problem solving in many possible ways.

4. Decision step. Choose the best choice in problem solving from all choices that analyze and synthesis from the 3 ways of data. Sometimes the best choice may be the choices that got considered the best factor in each choice and can be taken as combination.

5. Step to take decision result to operation. Consider data carefully and enough in 3 ways when making decision with reason. The choice that has been decided is the best choice.

6. Step in evaluation. When deciding to use the best choice to operate, do it if you are happy with it but if it has problems in applying it, better go back to study and search for more information that are lacking in some ways or in 3 ways again until they are enough to use to make decision and take that result to be used again.

However, social in globalization is a social that rapidly changes and problems also always change. Path can exist, blows out and changes in time. Things that use to stop the path have to be developed and always updated in changing and suitable to be used in changing situation. The process to be used for stopping the path or solving problem will be cycled continually for thewhole life.

“A Drug addicted Youth”

Problem

Samart is a youth and lives with friends in the suburb of Bangkok. He is a laborer and works in the village. His work is about repairing small bit things in the village. Sometimes he is a worker that works daily as a subcontractor in a company and is in charge of carpentry and cement job generally in different places. His income is uncertain and always moves to other places with his coworkers. His parents are poor farmer having many children and live in the countryside. He has to work as a laborer in order to earn money to support his parents but it is very hard for him to do that because the expenses and costs of living in Bangkok is very high and much higher than the life in the countryside. He is alone and having only friends in the same age as him. He only graduated in primary school and cannot study further. He did not get any advice or knowledge after that time same as his colleagues. The company is never interested in the livelihood of any of its workers but on the other hand, they never take advantage of the workers. He chats with his friends quite often, starts to drink and becomes addicted to drugs at the end.

Understanding the Problems

First, think consciously in order to consider the problem clearly and make sure that we are able to solve the problems and then consider deeply the complicated drugs problem of Samart in order to classify which class of drugs addicts he is and look for the ways to reach the problem including the environment involves that make Samart becomes addicted.

Causes of the Problems

This step studies the cause of drugs addicts such as Samart who has to be considered as subject from taken form variety of data as in the side of personal life, family background, living condition, economic, social, habit, behavior, friends and patience in order to see which factors from his personal life that has taken him to be a drug addict. Sources of information that can be beneficial in learning, is that drugs trading takes place in community includes data that involve knowledge about drugs addicts and the danger of that, community campaign, access to documents, media and public relation and how effective media to protect drugs of people in community. These sources of information have to be taken to analyze different ways in order to use as synthesis to find the cause of drugs problem of Samart.

Step to analyze to find the choice in problem solving

This step studies the causes that make Samart to become drug addicts that is analyze from 3 ways of data. There are many possible ways to solve this problem and they can be such as to go for ordination to stay away from drugs, stop meeting friends that are drugs addict, change career, learn to make a living, consult well-informed organization to help one who is a drugs addict and learning new skills in order to earn money, go back home in the country to be treated and stays his with family.

Step to make decision choose the best way to solve the problem

The step looks for ways that makes Samart to make decision, chooses the best and suitable way to solve his problem such as to stop loitering with friends who are drugs addict, consults with well-informed person, joins project that cure drug addicts in community and accesses to build up health together and also practicing career to earn money.

Step to decision taken as result of practice

Samart has to access to be cured in this step. There are special steps and methods. Samart has to be patient over time to practice and must intends to stop from drugs, promise himself that he will not go back to drugs, has to build up health both in body and mind includes access for new career from training career central in order to have the way to make a living after finish practicing.

Follow up to evaluate

This step will be the step to self-evaluation of Samart on his decision to decide to stop drug and intends to be a good person, has a new career that will be a way to make a living, whether he can do or cannot do while practicing, and whether he is satisfies or happy to entera curing and building up health or not. If he satisfies and happy with these, this means he can solve his problem but has to go back to see the 3 steps process again if it is the opposite way and then take time to think, analyze and synthesize to find a new way to make decision in solving the problem.
