Topic 3 : Mind mapping
What is mind mapping?
Mind mapping is an act of summarizing knowledge into categories, with additional colors and illustrations to enable us to see clearly.
Mind map will enable us to practice our thinking in a form of pictures, and to memorize things in color, all of which are the nature of brain.
Mind Map
Rules for mind mapping
Begin with placing a colored picture in the center of a piece of paper that lies horizontally. A picture paints a thousand words, helps arise creative thinking, and helps expand the scope of memory.
Use as many pictures as possible in your mind plan. Pictures help the brain remember things easily.
Write on the paper using a capital letter. It is easier to read, attracts the readers’ eyes and minds, and wastes no time reading it again.
Write a word or words above the line. Each line must be connected to the other lines in order to show that the mind map has its foundation.
The word above each line should have a feature of "unit"; this will help connect the word with other words freely. The mind plan will become more agile and flexible.
Use colors all over the mind map. The colors help expand the memory, enjoy seeing, and stimulate the right side of the brain.
In order to have new creative thinking, the brain should have as much freedom as possible. But do not pay most attention on where to write a word or whether to write or not to write it, because all of these will delay your work disappointingly.
The principle of Mind Map is to recall the memories of all the things that the brain has experienced and kept in its central part. Your brain can bring back the hidden ideas faster than you can write them out. However, you must keep on writing until finish. Do not worry about an arrangement of the ideas or its grammatical correct. Everything will be improved in the end.
