I had an extremely complicated life when I was a child. I was once involved in a case of fake notes when I was in lower secondary school and weapons when I was in upper secondary school. They were not mine but they belong to friends that come to stay with us at that time including the guns, two M16 and two 11MM with 56 bullets. I also had amphetamine 800 tabs and 2 kilograms of marijuana.

My life was in this field all that time so it was not strange to touch with these. I was caught and I confessed because I wanted to start a new life and leave these things behind. I left Surat thani for Ramkhamhaeng University. One day I thought of home and my friends so I decided to go back, unfortunately the police caught me immediately. I was charge of smoking marijuana and I was put into rehab for 3 years.

Sometimes I and my friend were drubbed from 20 people it may because I had a lot of friends and I helped everyone come and I helped them every time when they had problems. I had 2 limitations that I did not help, in particular going to have a problem with others in a cause of women. I would not help at all if they had problem with these two cases.

Stay away home and family. My background would be like this, I was bad when I stay away from family but I was a good boy when I was at home. The things that made me change is when I had the guarantee by a National youth supporter in 2544. I was a good student and I used to be the school representative to the Science Project Contest and I won the first prize from the national level before I went to international contest in Malaysia. I won the prize in the area of environment.

I was in good behavior at that time and everyone in my family had to accept it. In my heart I sincerely appreciate the feeling of my grandmother because she was the one who took care of me for 12 years. I did not want to make her sad. The thing that I could do is to improve myself to make everyone happy.

I decided to go to Bangkok to study at Ramkhamhaeng University to study Politics and Administration. I wanted to prove myself to others and for them to see that I can support myself while studying. 

I spent my time at Ramkhamhaeng University and graduated Bachelor’s Degree in 3 years and received an honorary gift. I was working student and the money that I got from working was clean money.

I had my first job at CP Company, I was in charge of coordinating customer relationship at 200 Baht a day. I did everything legal at that time. I was given a rise of 500 Baht when I worked for about 3 months. I was very happy because working gave me an opportunity to have a vision and a new concept.

Many people were surprised about the change in my social life or not. I did not have any problems. Everyone gave me an opportunity to me and I intended to do the job, nobody interested in my past. Everyone appriciated my work and my behavior.

The changing point that was very important in my life was theTsunami. I was working as company representative and I went to Ban Nam Khem, Phangnga at that time. The situation there was hard to explain, I was deeply affected to see children left homeless and orphananed. My heart was broken with the misery that I saw.

I went to observe the area for a while. I planned with my friends about the coming children’s day. We should do activities for the children to have fun. We started to announce in the area about the activities on children’s day. I spent our own money to buy presents for over 70-80 children

I went back to work in Bangkok again after helping the Tsunami. The direction of my mindset started to change. I would like to work, and create activities to help society. I did not want to my feeling to help children to end. I found 2 friends that have the same idea while I did the activities at Ban Nam Khem. We did the activities for the children and youth and eventually set up the group called Y-Act.

Our group aimed to train children in the country to do general things such as creating activities helpful livelihood, having a public mind to serve, developing projects, conducting training on leader skill, campaign against drinking alcohol, smoking and aids awareness including organization training. I quit from my regular at the end. I am happy with my work these days.

“No one is perfect nobody wants to do wrong things. The important thing is how long would we spend time to recognize the wrong things we are doing and to put an end to it, make a u-turn and use the lesson we have learned for the, if we could do this the wrong things would fade away. Worth and goodness will always beat badness.”

2. Community of Practices and Learning Community (CoP).
