Mrs. O’Melia graduated high school in Wisconsin and moved to Colorado where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Colorado Christian University. Over the past six years Mrs. O’Melia has enjoyed teaching a variety of grade levels. She has spent the last 4 years teaching 1st grade and has discovered her love for this age group. She taught at the full-time Ascent program for 3 years, then was a 1st grade teacher for Brave Academy. In April 2024, she and her husband welcomed their daughter Elanor to the family. This past year she had the opportunity to work at a homeschool collaborative program where she enjoyed learning more about the homeschool community. When she is not teaching, Mrs. O’Melia loves to go on walks with her daughter on the beautiful Colorado trails. She also enjoys singing, baking, board games, and reading.
