Course Description:
In Great Biographies, we interact with biographical works about classical thinkers, notable scientists, and formidable Americans. We spend time learning to think critically about the contributions of these historical figures - noting the good, the true and the beautiful - through reading and discussion. We use our virtues as a lens through which to discern character.
Course Objectives:
Engage the life-stories of people in a variety of time-spaces
Practice and grow in the art of dialogue and inquiry
Acquaint ourselves with individual impact on, or contribution to, unfolding human affairs
