⭐Model/feature an AVID strategy of the month/quarter. What expectations will there be for staff?
⭐Encourage staff to register for and attend offered spring area workshops.
⭐Conduct classroom visits and share best practices to monitor and support the implementation and effectiveness of schoolwide WICOR strategies, AVID Elective curriculum (Weeks at a Glance), tutor performance, and site-based goals. Record findings for certification documentation.
⭐Use completed Site Plans and site goals to determine who should attend SI.
⭐Ensure campus is on track for certification according to the CCI.
⭐Begin entering Site Level Data and General Data.
⭐Monitor and adjust Site Plans based on data, progress toward goals, and certification metrics.
⭐Conduct spring Tutor Training; hire new tutors as needed.
⭐Continue the student selection process (district communication, Family Information Nights, application due dates, interviews).
⭐Use AVID Domains/Subdomains as your guide for all Site Team meetings to support the collection of certification artifacts and implementation fidelity.
⭐Review progress toward certification and evaluate alignment with site goals.
⭐Provide staff training on second semester Site Plan updates and refinement of goals.
⭐Attend Site Team meetings and coordinator workshops as scheduled.
⭐Monitor and disseminate information from the District Director and AVID Center to applicable school staff, including through newsletters, district meetings, emails, flyers, etc.
⭐Communicate your SI needs to your District Director.
⭐Plan a spring Family Workshop. Workshops can occur in conjunction with other school events.
⭐Ensure AVID juniors and seniors are on track to take/retake SAT or ACT.
