⭐Model/feature an AVID strategy of the month/quarter. What expectations will there be for staff?
⭐Schedule a pre-certification visit with the District Director.
⭐Conduct classroom visits and share best practices to monitor and support the implementation and effectiveness of schoolwide WICOR strategies, AVID Elective curriculum (Weeks at a Glance), tutor performance, and site-based goals. Record findings for certification documentation.
⭐Monitor progress on submission of Site Level Data and/or General Data to the District Director.
⭐Initiate and/or complete student selection for the next school year’s AVID Elective classes.
⭐Confirm implementation plans, including growth of new or additional AVID teachers and classes.
⭐Use AVID Domains/Subdomains as your guide for all Site Team meetings to support the collection of certification artifacts and assist with CCI and collecting documentation.
⭐Update district and site leadership on Summer Institute training needs.
⭐Attend Site Team meetings and coordinator workshops as scheduled.
⭐Monitor and disseminate information from the District Director and AVID Center to applicable school staff, including through newsletters, district meetings, emails, flyers, etc.
⭐Communicate your SI needs to your District Director.
⭐Schedule events to celebrate and share AVID successes (board presentations, visits to AVID Elective classes, family events).
⭐Conduct AVID Family Workshops. Workshops can occur in conjunction with other school events.
