⭐Conduct classroom visits and share best practices to monitor and support the implementation and effectiveness of schoolwide WICOR strategies, AVID Elective curriculum (Weeks at a Glance), tutor performance, and site-based goals. Record findings for certification documentation.
⭐Review the resources under Certification and Data Collection. The Help Toolbox has entry resources for sites and approval resources for District Directors, including informational videos, how-to documents, and FAQs.
⭐Conduct pre-certification classroom visits using CCI as a guide for secondary.
⭐Begin Secondary CCI process and baseline preparation.
⭐Discuss and collect possible evidence sources needed for certification.
⭐Develop/refine an AVID Elective student recruitment plan (timeline and responsibilities).
⭐Register for AVID National Conference.
⭐Use AVID Domains/Subdomains as your guide for all Site Team meetings to support the collection of certification artifacts and implementation fidelity.
⭐Attend Site Team meetings and coordinator workshops as scheduled.
⭐Monitor and disseminate information from the District Director and AVID Center to applicable school staff, including through newsletters, district meetings, emails, flyers, etc.
⭐Develop community partnerships to support AVID.
⭐Identify and contact local media sources to feature AVID success stories in the news.
⭐Ensure AVID seniors are completing college applications.
⭐Ensure AVID seniors are completing the FAFSA (opens October 1) and/or other state financial aid applications.
