⭐Model/feature an AVID strategy of the month/quarter. What expectations will there be for staff?
⭐Conduct classroom visits and share best practices to monitor and support the implementation and effectiveness of schoolwide WICOR strategies, AVID Elective curriculum (Weeks at a Glance), tutor performance, and site-based goals. Record findings for certification documentation.
⭐Conduct Certification classroom visits using the CCI as a guide for secondary.
⭐Monitor and adjust Site Plans based on progress toward goals and certification metrics. Prepare team attending SI to continue work on Site Plan moving into next year.
⭐Ensure site is on track to complete and submit Secondary CCI with access to appropriate evidence.
⭐Work with site administration to ensure AVID students have access to rigorous courses within the master schedule.
⭐Use AVID Domains/Subdomains as your guide for all Site Team meetings to support the collection of certification artifacts.
⭐Conduct certification meeting with the District Director prior to submitting the Secondary CCI.
⭐Utilize the District Dashboard and the AVID Data Reports Site on MyAVID to analyze student data and identify gaps and trends to assist with coaching and support.
⭐Identify additional staff changes related to plans for training and implementation.
⭐Confirm SI attendees are registered for correct strands and update TBAs.
⭐Review Summer Institute resources, including Site Team materials.
⭐Attend Site Team meetings and coordinator workshops as scheduled.
⭐Monitor and disseminate information from the District Director and AVID Center to applicable school staff, including through newsletters, district meetings, emails, flyers, etc.
⭐Oversee enrollment of AVID Elective students, ensuring Advanced Placement options.
⭐Plan end-of-year celebrations. Invite key supporters.
⭐Ensure AVID seniors report their plans and successes through AVID Senior Data before the end of the school year.
