ACTFL Exit level: Novice High/ Intermediate Low
Middle School Intermediate builds upon the foundation established in Beginner increasing language fluency and complexity. Students at this level use sentences and occasionally string of sentences to communicate. They can understand and use familiar everyday phrases and basic sentences related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping etc.). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information on familiar matters provided the other person talks slowly and provides help. Can describe in simple terms personal details and matters in areas of immediate need.
I can understand the email from a pen pal or the poster for the school timetable and a note from my friends.
I can present information on nationality, languages spoken, and school timetable via email or advertisement.
I can exchange information with my partner about nationality, languages spoken, and school timetable.
Week 6 ~12
I can understand the weather conditions of different seasons and symptoms of sickness in conversations about weather and health.
