Taking risks and stepping outside one’s comfort zone are unavoidable parts of learning, and they can naturally create fear and anxiety. How can we help learners recognize the benefits of engaging in their learning despite potential discomfort? Our search for answers led us to several insights and reflections. This workshop will introduce the foundational principles that guided us, along with a collaborative mathematics project designed to bring interactive and reflective moments into the classroom—while having fun!
