In March 2025, students from our school visited the city of Slavonski Brod, Croatia, as part of an exciting Erasmus+ mobility program. The program aimed to strengthen European citizenship and European identity, while providing participants with the opportunity to learn about Croatian culture, education system and local communities.
During the mobility, our students participated in international projects where they worked with their Croatian classmates. The focus of the workshops and presentations was on active citizenship, common European values and cultural diversity. The program also provided participants with the opportunity to develop their language skills, especially the use of English in everyday communication.
The mobility provided not only academic but also cultural experiences. The students were able to discover the historical and cultural heritage of Slavonski Brod, as well as get to know local traditions. The program contributed to increasing the openness of young people, deepening the sense of European belonging, and also resulted in new friendships.
In Zagreb, at the Model European Parliament (MEP) – Simulation Program, our students had the opportunity to experience the legislative process, debate and vote on various topics.
Erasmus+ mobility was a great experience for all participants, providing not only academic but also personal development. The trip confirmed in us that Europeanness does not only exist in a geographical sense, but also in a common system of values and mindset that connects us with other nations.
