We spent an unforgettable week in Busto Arsizio, Italy, as part of the Erasmus+ program. We not only stayed in this city, but we also got involved in the life of the school there, where the children worked with 12 Italian students. They planned their own programs together, which required a lot of creativity and cooperation.
During the week, we also visited Milan, where in addition to the impressive buildings, we also discovered the wide range of shops. In Como, the beautiful city center and the picturesque lake enchanted everyone, while the charming streets and cozy atmosphere of Arona provided a real Italian feeling.
A special experience of the trip was that the participants could spend an evening with Italian families, where they had dinner together, talked and got an insight into the daily life of the locals. The families welcomed them with great love and offered them homemade food with true Italian hospitality.
During the program, the participants not only practiced their English and Italian languages, but also experienced the Italian joie de vivre. Of course, we didn’t forget about the flavors of Italy: every day we tasted new delicacies, from pizza to fresh pasta to the famous Italian ice cream.
This Erasmus trip was not only useful from an academic point of view, but also enriched us with cultural and gastronomic experiences. One thing is for sure: this trip will remain an eternal memory in the hearts of every participant.
