Please continue to work on username and password at home. The students who returned are doing extremely well so it's paying off. All the students I have had the opportunity to watch are doing an exceptional job. Normally we would move to our next skill set but, as we have less than half our students in the f2f setting, I will not move ahead. We will continue to work on making uppercase letters and this will help students become more comfortable with the location of the keys on the keyboard making future activities progress faster. Making uppercase letters is difficult for several reasons. First, the students have to do different things with each hand. One is holding a key down while the other hand is pushing a key quickly and softly. It is also difficult because many students, one they learn how to make uppercase letters, attempt to capitalize everything. Please review slide show if necessary and type alphabet at least two times.
I would prefer your child work on making uppercase letters so that when they return to school, they have the same skillset has their f2f peers. If you feel your child is competent at typing his alphabet using upper and lowercase letters, you may work on the Specials' Assignment provided below.
