Listen to directions. You'll be given time to work on your own later.
Only touch your computer. It's okay to help your neighbor but use your mouth and not your fingers. Your neighbor has to learn how to use the computer also and he can't if you do everything for him. Also, if you're able to tell him how to do something that means you REALLY understand it.
It's okay to get stuck, mess up or get behind. It's nothing to cry or get upset about. Computers are wonderful because starting over or fixing our mistakes is easy. If you get stuck, mess up or need help, ask your neighbor if I'm not talking to the entire class or raise your hand to ask me for help.
Always touch the keys softly and productively. Random pounding only increases the likelihood of the keyboard breaking.
Don't touch the monitor. It's not a touch screen.
The purpose of technology is to make your life easier. Always be thinking about how you can take what you are learning and use it in your own life. Can you do your homework on the computer? Make Grandma a card? Type your Christmas list and make what you really want bold? The more ways you find ways to use technology, the better you'll be at it.
Have fun.
Be creative when given time to work on your own. Don't be afraid to try something new or think outside the box.
Always walk when in the labs. There are many wires and when you are running it is very easy to tip. Let's play it safe.
Water bottles go on the window sill and there is no food allowed anywhere near the computers.
