Typing Your Name

Please continue to work on username and password at home. Our next skillset will give your child plenty of review for making uppercase letters.

The students who have been fortunate enough to have technology have done an excellent job making upper and lowercase letters. I don't feel comfortable moving forward with only half the class present but I can't justify the unnecessary busy work continuous reviewing would create. We need to move on. I apologize for putting the burden on the parents but the small classes of late has shown me that it is much easier with individual and small groups so I'm confident the students will be fine. Please go through the slide show with your child and have them type their names at least ten times or up to thirty minutes. In school we offer "page awards" for every page typed which is eleven on a page. Our goal is that this task becomes quick and automatic so that future lessons can begin quickly and efficiently. Traditionally one's name is the fastest two words a person can type.
