I was just informed that Kindergarten students weren't given their email information. Instead of their email address, we will just work on the name portion of the email as it is also our computer log on username. So have your child practice his/her username and password for school log on. The username is the first name, a period and last name. The password is the their first and last initials with kg at at the end. When practicing your computer may capitalize the first letter, although the password is case sensitive, we are not going to worry about this as it will not happen when they actually log into their school computers. At school we work on this until November some years. Some students find this very difficult. DO NOT stress about this. We have plenty of time. If your child is frustrated or doesn't know how to spell his/her name, make a model using all uppercase letters if necessary as that is what is on most keyboards. If he/she is still frustrated, encourage them to type it a total of two times with assistance and try again next week. We do not need or expect perfection the first few weeks. This can be completed on any word processing software. Remember this is a process that takes time. Sorry about any confusion. Sample below:

The children in school are having technology outside as the items needed for mitigation are not in. Remote students can work on logging into their Google Classroom using their school email account’s username and password which will be provided by your child’s teacher. When your child returns to school they will need to log on to their school computer, their username will be their first name, a period and their last name. ( first.last ) and their password will be their initials with kg added at the end of their initials. So First Last’s password would be flkg in all lowercase letters. So if your child only gets the first part of their email before the @ symbol, they are doing great. We work on logging into our computers till November or later depending on the class. If your child is planning on returning to school after the first nine weeks and can do their username, they will be on track. Usernames are not case sensitive but passwords are.
Samples:
John Smith’s username would be john.smith and his password would be jskg
Julie Jacobs’ username would be julie.jacobs and her password would be jjkg
Patrick Smith Connor’s username would be patrick.connor and his password would be pckg
