Each teacher is REQUIRED to maintain and regularly update their substitute folder which should remain clearly visible and easily found on the teacher's desk.
1. Emergency student information and a list of students assigned to the classroom
2. Daily schedules and schedules of specials/support classes
3. Behavior plans
4. List of students receiving medication and the times for the medications
5. Breakfast/Lunch information and codes; an explanation of lunch procedures (including entering/exiting the cafeteria and obtaining meals); clean-up procedures
6. List of student bus numbers and vendor vans or car rider instructions
7. Lesson plans for the week (it is your responsibility to maintain current lessons in the classroom). Instructions how to access lesson plans on your Collaborative Planning team Google Drive
8. Fire Drill, Lockdown, Evacuation instructions, including map of exit route
9. Copy of Metro’s Safe School Crisis Management Plan
10. Class role, indicating student's preferred name
11. Procedures for reporting attendance
12. List of students with special diets, allergies, or special medical needs
NOTE: only Metro staff who have been properly trained to feed students by our OTs, and staff properly trained by our school nurses per doctor’s orders for tube feeding, are permitted to assist with feeding students (this means no parents or volunteers are permitted to assist with feeding)
13. List of any special duties (i.e. bus duty) you may have
14. Name of Team Leader or CT teacher that can answer questions in the classroom, if needed
