Required and non-required field trips MUST be requested at least two (6) weeks prior to the trip which will be reviewed and approved by the Administration Team. All teachers must submit the following paperwork:

CMS Class Trip Student Permission Form
In addition, transportation must submitted using the Educational Journey Trip Request found on the CMS intranet site: http://appsint.cms.k12.nc.us/departments/transportation/fieldTripRequest/menu.asp
It is the responsibility of the Aquatics Instructors (PE teachers with WSI certification) to provide and ensure a safe instructional setting for both students and staff
School assemblies will be listed in the daily bulletin, announced in the morning announcements, and scheduled on the school's calendar. All classes and staff are expected to attend all assemblies that apply to your students unless other arrangements have been pre-approved by an administrator All special assemblies and class/team programs must receive prior approval by an administrator. NO EXCEPTIONS.
All volunteers must be approved by the CMS volunteer coordinator's office, Metro administration, and referred to the Metro volunteer coordinator. Student teachers and interns are referred to Metro through the College/University. Any requests received for such placements must be referred to the Principal. Volunteers must sign-in upon arrival following standard CMS procedures.
