Please just use whatever is working from the plan or from your own repertoire. There are also books at the back of the room to choose from.

Fire Drill

When the fire bell rings, a students lines up, opens the door and begins to lead the class out.
The teacher is the last one out. Windows closed, shut off the lights, and door closed.
We leave the classroom and go through the courtyard (gate at the back) to the soccer field.
When all students are out, use the class seating charts to do a roll call. Black binder in above the sink on the shelf.
Re-enter the building when directed.

Lockdown

All students go to the safe zone. This is located by the desk, within the zone under the black dots that are on the ceiling.
The announcement will be "Initiate locked down now, this is a drill."
Teacher locks the door. SHUT THE DOOR, THEN PUT IN LOCK POSITION.
Close the windows and blinds.
Then go sit with the students in silence.
The Administration will come around to check if the doors are locked. Stay silent and do not open the door.
The drill will be over when they say this over the announcements.
The classes all work on this with their homeroom but might need a reminder about where the safe zone is in the music room.

This will be new for the Kindergarten students.

Review lyrics, songs and practise singing quietly (piano) and then loudly (forte). But still with a beatiful singing voice. The key is on my desk. Watch the video to help them understand the hot and cold aspect of the game. Choose a hidder and finder. PLAY! They don't need to do the solo at the end if they don't feel ready!
