All the students are miming one of their favorite playtime activities. The sounds of the busy noises and playing is interrupted by 3 knocks on the door.
Mom:
Kids, it's time to get ready for bed....
Kids:
Okay, Mom!
Speaker 1:
Bedtime is my favorite time. I know that's strange to say.
It's 'cause I get to put my PJs on to end my day.
Speaker 2:
All of my pajamas are colorful and bright.
And when it's time to go to bed, I party through the night.
Speaker 3:
But there are things that must be done before you go to bed.
You have to take a bath and wash yourself from toe to head.
Speaker 4:
And don't forget, before you sleep, you have to brush your teeth,
In and out, side to side, above and underneath.
Speaker 5:
Get your wiggles out and pick up all your clothes and toys.
It's okay to have some fun, but don't make too much noise.
Speaker 6:
So when my mother calls, I listen and obey,
Because her marching orders must be followed right away!
Speaker 7:
Ready, set, now here I go! I dive into my bed.
I snuggle is, with sheets and blankets pulled up to my head.
Speaker 8:
Just one more glass of water? Just one more book to read?
Just one more hug and one more kiss is really all I need.
Speaker 9:
And when I'm through with mom and dad, with hugging and with kissing,
I'm tucked in tight but then I notice, there is something missing!
Speaker 10:
You gotta have a doll, a blanket, lovey or a teddy.
Where'd it go? Oh, here it is! Okay, then - now I'm ready.
Speaker 11:
Now I lay me down to sleep, this is a silent night.
I am feeling oh so good and everything seems right.
Speaker 12:
But wait! what is that noise I hear that comes from down below?
What is underneath my bed? I just don't want to know.
Speaker 13:
Could it be a monster or a creature from beneath?
I'm sure that it has hairy hands and scary fangs for teeth.
Speaker 14:
Do I dare to take a peek to see what waits for me?
My oh my, what will I find? Whatever will I see?
Speaker 15:
There's nothing in the closet, or underneath the bed.
All those crazy scary things were only in my head.
Speaker 16:
Now that I am settled, I think I'll count some sheep.
My eyes are getting heavy - it's time to go to sleep.
Speaker 17:
Bedtime is the greatest time. It's been a lot of fun,
But don't forget, there's one more thing that simply must be done.
Speaker 18:
I promise that I won't wake up, I'll sleep so sound and long,
If we can just hold hands and sing a final bedtime song.
Mom:
Are you sleeping?
Kids:
NO!
Jump, jump, jump Jim Joe.
Shake your head, and nod your head, and tap your toe.
Around, round, round you go;
Then you choose another partner and you jump Jim Joe!
Hiccup buttercup
Flies all night
Grab you cup and
Pass it right
Are you strumming, are you strumming?
Yes I am, yes I am!
I play ukulele, I play ukulele
Yes I can, yes I can!
5 Little Bunnies hopping all around
Hiding Easter eggs where they can't be found.
Orange, yellow, purple, pink and blue
Hide them all away from you
5 little bunnies hopping all around
Hiding Easter eggs where they can't be found.
I see the yellow egg
They see the yellow egg
Grizzly bear, a grizzly bear, is sleeping in a cave
Grizzly bear, a grizzly bear, is sleeping in a cave
Please be very quiet, very very quiet
If you wake them, if you shake them, they'll get very
MAD!
Add instrument parts
Bunny hides the basket
Where can it be?
Look until you find it!
Everyone can see.
Group 1
Inch by inch, row by row
Gonna make this garden grow
All it takes is a rake and a hoe
And a piece of fertile ground
Group
Inch by inch, row by row
Someone bless these seeds I sow
Someone warm them from below
Till the rain comes tumbling down
Group 2
Pulling weeds and picking stones
We are made of dreams and bones
Feel the need to grow my own
Cause the time is close at hand
Group 2
Grain for grain, sun and rain
Find my way in nature's chain
Tune my body and my brain
To the music from the land
Group 3 C
Plant your rows straight and long
Temper them with prayer and song
Mother Earth will make you strong
If you give her love and care
Group 3
Old crow watching hungrily
From his perch in yonder tree
In my garden I'm as free
As that feathered thief up there
All hum and work in your garden
Inch by inch, row by row
Gonna make this garden grow
All it takes is a rake and a hoe
And a piece of fertile ground
Inch by inch, row by row
Someone bless these seeds I sow
Someone warm them from below
Till the rain comes tumbling down
