Welcome! My name is Dorothy Dahn and I love teaching music at Westwood Primary. I have a B. Mus. Ed from U.P.E.I, with a Major in Piano, and my M.Mus.Ed from Acadia. I grew up in this area of the Island so this school and community mean a lot to me. Click on the grade level below to find lessons and activities for each month.

What is Orff Shulwerk?

The Orff Approach is a holistic approach to learning music that integrates singing, saying, moving, and playing instruments. It is student centered approach fostering creativity - using what you have learned to create something new. The integration of numeracy and literacy is seamless and supports the foundational learnings across the curriculum.
