• NEW: Code WESTY and SHELTER IN PLACE: You may hear an announcement or all-page that calls for “Code Westy for (student initials and location).  All staff and students will shelter in place until further notice.”  This means there is a medical emergency. Please clear the hallways, close your doors and curtains and remain in your room until further direction is provided. If students are outside, the bell will be rung by office staff and an announcement will be made.  

• Turn on the projector  to get sound and make sure you are in present mode on this google site. That way videos will play without having to open them up in a new tab. 

• The speakers in my room are connected to the computer but for some reason take about 30 seconds to connect at times. Just be patient if you are playing any videos/music. 

• Current schedule is on the wall by my desk. 

• Please just use whatever is working from the plan or from your own repertoire.  There are also books at the back of the room to choose from.  If something is working just go for it! If students aren't, just move on and skip it for the next class! 

• Use EA support and call the office (black button by the doorway), if there is any emergency.

• When the fire bell rings, a students lines up, opens the door and begins to lead the class out. 

• The teacher is the last one out. Windows closed, shut off the lights, and door closed.

• We leave the classroom and go through the kindergarten playground courtyard (gate at the back), through the back parking lot then stop beside the far teacher parking lot 

• When all students are out, use the class seating charts to do a roll call. Bring the duty vest and black bag, which are hanging by the door. This has the class lists so you can do roll call. 

• Re-enter the building when directed.
