Literature

This unit focuses on developing reading strategies and personal responses to literature and an understanding of how themes and ideas in texts comment on personal and social experiences. It covers various kinds of literature, both print and non-print. Students study at least two print texts (novels, plays, poetry, and short stories), one film and one text from the student’s personal reading. Assessment tasks are set for each of the texts studied.
