This document describes the levels schools and staff achieve at different stages in their TCL journey, from ‘Induct’ (Auslan only) and ‘Discover’ (oral languages) in their first year of TCL to ‘Lead’ as they develop experience and expertise through the stages of ‘Expand’, ‘Embed’ and ‘Thrive’.
This document highlights the progression continuum for the elements of Structure, Delivery, Pedagogy, Assessment and School Culture.
Schools are encouraged to use the School and Staff Progression Map as a roadmap for reviewing and improvement planning purposes.
