My idea with my second painting was to make the person painting with it being my big brother but when he was little I got this idea from him being my favorite brother. When I sketched this out I did use a picture of my own life experience. The process was not really that challenging, I did have a little trouble with making his face but it did come out good. For the media I used acrylic paint and mixed a lot of colors to get the different colors and I did have to test if his hair would blend in the background color but it does but you can still see it. My intention was to make a painting of my big brother when he was little and that it was going to be easy and I don’t think my artwork means anything, it's just my big brother. My audience can just think about their siblings and how they were when they were little. This painting doesn't have any symbolic imagery either. The most difficult part of this painting was making his face and I overcame that by drawing out his face first then painting it to the shape and color and the thing I would change if I restarted was just making his hair more visible. This painting is realistic because of how it’s one of my siblings and the thing that makes it unique is how I decided to make it one of my siblings when they were little and I love everything about it, I think I did do a good job with this painting.
