My idea was to make a house with newspaper and I got this idea because at first I wanted to do my own house but I changed it up a little bit. For the sketch I did draw inspiration from my own life since it was my house. The process was smooth until I decided to restart because some of the walls were uneven not letting the roof be even and for my media I used cardboard, acrylic paint, and newspaper and the tools/techniques I used were measuring first, gluing next and adding details last. My intention was to make a house but with newspaper and this house doesn't mean anything special it’s just a house and I want my audience to think about just an un-normal house with newspaper and there isn’t any symbolic imagery. The most difficult part was making the walls and roof even and not uneven and I overcame that with measuring first then glueing. The thing I would change if I did restart would be the size, it's just a little too big. This artwork is abstract and what makes it personal to my own life is how it was going to be my house but I just changed it up a little and the thing I love is how the newspaper tells different stories.
