6 x 4, 2026, Stone wear clay and acrylic paint
My idea for my 3D painting was to make an ocean theme with the water with rocks and a turtle, a red coral in the middle and the ground of the sea on the other side. I got this idea from my sister on what she likes because of how she loves blue and the ocean and beaches. An inspiration for this is how I went to a beach before when I was little but the idea mostly came from my sister. The process with this was first I made a square and smoothed it out then started adding the sea floor and making the coral, then I made the turtle and I with this I needed five layers so the turtle was the main one which is the fifth layer but when I was moving it fell and broke into two parts which is fine because I was able to fix it then I took out some of the clay from the back side so it wouldn’t be heavy were it would break. The artwork means “The ocean style” which is also what I want my audience to think about too. The most difficult part was making the turtle all like his arms even with one another and how I overcame that was tracing one fin out and putting that over the clay then tracing it again. I wouldn’t change anything because I like how it came out. This piece is surreal because of how it challenges a realistic thing. It really doesn’t make it unique to my style but my sisters. I love the pink part of it because of how the pink came out and how it all matches.
