Literacy Plan 

CCA Criminal Justice supports literacy and numeracy skills. We are committed to helping EOC test scores and also helping students graduate with skills that would help them succeed after leaving the Catoosa County College and Career Academy. 

Each week we plan assignments that support ELA standards. The assignments range from collaborative discussions, to reading and understanding technical material to writing skills. Each week we assign assignments with writing prompts to work on writing skills. Topics are either responses in our Professional Development lessons or are part of our public safety lessons. 

Numeracy skills are addressed through lessons from the public safety standards. An example would be in the traffic accident lessons.
