State the written policy for the allocation and control of training expenditures.
Our school system provides Perkins money on the school and county-level for teacher development and training. The Perkins budget is first allocated for registration, travel, and substitutes for teacher development. Teachers sign up for their desired training that helps them with their Program of Work, the recommendations from their advisory committee, and the needs identified in the Certified Local Needs Assessment. Our priority for Perkins funds is teacher training and we strive to not deny any request that helps a teacher for their pathway.
Describe the budgeting procedure for your program
The CCA Criminal Justice receives funds through The CCA Board of Directors. This budget consists of proceeds from donations and QBE funds. When the funds are allocated to the school CTAE instructors are asked to provide a list of items they would like to purchase for the year. These requests are reviewed to ensure they match the needs outlined in our most recent Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment. When the requests are received the CTAE supervisor determines which budget would be appropriate to use for the purchase of each item.

What system is in place for making decisions about consumables, course content, software, equipment, and/or instructional support materials.
The Certified Local Needs Assessment is used as a decision making guide for purchases and curriculum. The program Advisory Committee is a group of local industry professionals that counsels the CTAE department and teacher regarding relevant industry needs. The most prominent member of the Public Safety Advisory committee is our county sheriff. He is very knowledgeable about our schools, its students, and the requisite skills these students need to be successful in a public safety career.
