The mission of Ringgold High School is to equip every student with the skills necessary for future success.
The vision of Ringgold High School is for every student to graduate prepared with a post-secondary plan for success. (College, Technical school, Military, Apprenticeship, and/or Workforce)
The Public Safety program at Ringgold High School supports the mission and vision statements by working with students to make them successful. Our number one priority is to help the student graduate. Our CTAE programs actively assist our core teachers by reinforcing literacy and numeracy standards in our lessons and allowing students to apply that knowledge to real-world and program-specific scenarios.
Our CTAE department has also committed to Georgia Best. This is an employability skills curriculum provided by the Department of Labor. Once a week, our CTAE programs present lessons to the various levels of Georgia Best. By the time our students complete a pathway, they have completed four levels of Georgia Best curriculum. Freshmen in their From Here to Career classes complete level one. The three remaining levels are taught in their CTAE courses.
The Public Safety program at Ringgold High School follows the GADOE standards for coursework. The instructor also incorporates hands-on education, guest speakers from industry, and speakers from the military and post-secondary institutions to reinforce standards. Public safety students are also actively encouraged to participate in RHS Public Safety’s CERT program, Police Explorers, Fire Explorers, EMS Explorers, and Skills USA.
