Welcome to Beaufort Elementary: Sailing Towards Success! ⚓
Dear Beaufort Elementary Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend and enjoyed some quality time together. As we gear up for another exciting week of learning.
This week, our school is focusing on the character strength of Curiosity. Curiosity means being
interested in learning new things and asking questions to discover more about the world around
us.
Student Immunizations and Health Records:
Kindergarten and new student Health Assessments and immunizations are due no later than September 23rd. Any student missing these after that date will be excluded from school until records are complete. If you have any questions, please contact the School Nurse, Anna Buckner.
Important Reminders for Arrival & Dismissal:
To ensure everyone's safety and a smooth start and end to each day, please note the following:
Student Arrival: Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September. 2nd First Grade - Fifth Grade Parents will not be able to walk in with students. We will transition to a kiss and go transition at the door.
Pre-K and Kindergarten Parents are allowed to walk their students in until this Friday, September 5th.
Volunteers and Visitors:
We appreciate your understanding and support as we strive to create a safe and independent environment for our students. Visitors will also not be permitted to eat in the cafeteria or volunteer until we have established a routine with our Seadog students. We kindly request your patience and cooperation during these first 30 days of school. We look forward to welcoming you after October 1st.
Beginning of Grade Test (BOG)-3rd Grade:
Just a friendly reminder that our third-grade students will be taking the Beginning of Grade (BOG) assessment this Thursday. This test is a baseline to help us understand what your child knows as they begin the school year. It provides us with a valuable snapshot of their skills and will be used to measure the growth they make by the end of the year.
Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest and eats a good breakfast on Thursday morning so they can do their best!
We appreciate your support and look forward to having a successful week with each of you. Remember Seadogs, if no one has told you today, know that Mrs. Clemmons deeply cares about you.
