Welcome to Beaufort Elementary: Sailing Towards Success! ⚓
Dear Beaufort Elementary Families,
This week, our school will focus on the character strength of Forgiveness. Forgiveness means letting go of anger toward those who have done wrong and accepting that people make mistakes.
We are so proud of the following students:
This week, we are celebrating students who showed exceptional character, particularly the ability to appreciate different points of view and demonstrate empathy—the core of perspective! Their efforts made a difference in our classrooms:
Angel Taylor Johnson: We celebrate Angel's amazing sense of curiosity and her constant stream of thoughtful questions that help enrich our class discussions.
Adalyn Braddy: Adalyn demonstrated true empathy and perspective when she noticed a friend needing help and supported them on the carpet.
Micah Leach: Micah consistently models the power of kindness and is always mindful of others' feelings and needs throughout the school day.
Jaxson Pierce: Jaxson embraced a positive perspective by demonstrating courage and a willingness to try new things during a challenging activity.
Angelo Rivera: Angelo shows fantastic engagement and strong perspective by participating thoughtfully in discussions, helping the class consider different ideas.
Claire Hanna: In Math, Claire showcased a strong perspective as she listened to a classmate and considered another way to think about and solve a complex problem.
Justin Wilson: Justin shows awareness by truly understanding the needs and thoughts of others during collaborative work.
It's easy to focus on what goes wrong, but at Beaufort Elementary, our Seadogs consistently choose to see the good in each other. That positive mindset is what truly drives our success!
Important Reminders:
The Town of Beaufort Police Department is hosting a National Night Out event right here at our school! This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with your neighbors, town officials, and local emergency responders. Please bring your family and join us for a fun, community-focused evening on Tuesday, October 7th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Monday, October 13th will be no school for students. Teachers will have mandatory Teacher Workday. Also, October 22nd is Picture Day and our District has recently announced that it will also be Unity Day and has invited everyone to wear Orange for Anti-Bullying Month.
Roadwork will begin on Monday, October 6th, impacting the areas around Liveoak, Lennoxville, and Turner Street. This construction will affect our school traffic patterns. Please plan for extra time during drop-off and pick-up and use alternate routes if possible. Thank you for your patience!
Seadog Students, if no one has told you today, know that Mrs. Clemmons deeply cares.
