P2 Word of the Week: Perseverance
This week, our school community will focus on the character strength of Perseverance. Perseverance means completing what you start despite obstacles. It means never giving up.
🚢 Important Dates & Reminders
January 28: Report Cards Be on the lookout for second-quarter report cards, which will be sent home with students on Wednesday, January 28th.
📊 Mid-Year Check-In Assessments (Grades 3-5) Dates: Monday, February 2nd – Wednesday, February 4th Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students will be participating in their Mid-Year Check-In assessments. To help your student perform their best, we ask for your support with the following:
Attendance: Please ensure your student is present and on time each day.
Rest: A restful night of sleep (8-10 hours) is essential for focus and stamina.
Nutrition: Ensure they have a healthy breakfast at home or arrive early enough to eat in the cafeteria.
🏫 Prospective Family Tour Day Date: Wednesday, February 18th Time: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM Do you know a family looking for a new school home? We are hosting a Tour Day for new and prospective families. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to see our classrooms in action, meet our staff, and learn more about "The Ship." Please spread the word to your friends and neighbors!
🎭 Black History Program Date: Friday, February 20th Time: 8:30 AM Location: School Gymnasium You are cordially invited to join us for our annual Black History Program. Our students have been working hard on performances, readings, and presentations. We look forward to seeing our community come together for this special morning of inspiration.
