Free Lending of Scientific Calculators to Members

Started in 2019, Math Trivia aims to instill not only new knowledge to the Mathematics Society members but also an appreciation of the Mathematics subject, by sharing with them interesting and informative Mathematical facts.

A Christmas celebration for all the members of the mathematics with the goal of improving students' cognitive skills and providing them with learning while having fun was held on December 16, 2020, and this school year on October 8, 2021.

Webinars / Seminars

A webinar for all the BS Mathematics Freshmen to assist them through their college years and to introduce them to the organization and how it would benefit them, it was conducted on October 9, 2021.

Conducted on the 7th of November 2020 and 2nd of December 2020 via Google meet and Facebook live with the theme “MathSoc Cares: Guiding Mathizens to the Challenge of New Normal”, the project is a webinar series that served as a bridging program for the first year BS Mathematics students of Bulacan State University by providing them with the foundational knowledge in Calculus.

Conducted on four different dates, “Taking it Online” is a 4 part webinar series with the objective of providing the Mathematics Society members with an opportunity to learn various practical skills through a webinar setup.

A webinar series entitled "Gear Up, Move One Step Ahead for the Future" was developed to help BS Mathematics students prepare for their future as well as to provide extra skills and information in their careers.

Geogebra

A webinar on how GeoGebra may aid BS Mathematics students in their college years, it was held on June 19, 2020.

R

A webinar on how to utilize the R Language and R Studio to aid BS Mathematics with Specialization in Applied Statistics students in their future careers, it was held on July 04, 2020.

Time Series Analysis

Time Series Analysis and Forecasting- A webinar that discussed the method of evaluating time series data using statistics and modeling to produce forecasts and guide strategic decision-making that can benefit BS Math students in their future careers, it was held on July 04, 2020.

A seminar for fourth-year students and was organized last 2019 to strengthen student progress while boosting communication and reasoning skills.

Mathematics Society (MathSoc) prepared a webinar series entitled "Mathizens' Equip: Preparing Young Minds with Competent Mathematics" to prepare the BS Mathematics freshmen students of the College of Science for continuing the desire to learn.

Algebra

A webinar about algebra titled "Algebra: It's Hip to be Squared," took place on October 23, 2021, at 9:00 a.m.

Trigonometry

A webinar about the basic of trigonometry, titled "It's not a SIN COS we like Math," began later that day at 1:00 p.m.

Analytic Geometry

A webinar that focused on the basics of the analytic geometry, this session entitled "Shape your Future" was conducted on October 30, 2021. (1:00 PM). Two separate online video tools were used for each session:

This school year of 2021-2022, the Mathematics Society (Mathsoc) Organization has prepared a webinar that would assist the College of Science's students to formulate an appropriate scheme for a factual academic paper. In line with this, the event was held last November 13, 2021, on a Saturday, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, targeting a specific audience from the 4th year BS Mathematics Students of Bulacan State University (Main Campus) La Consolacion University Philippines – Malolos.

Mathematics Society (MathSoc) blew up a 3-part webinar series that will guide the students to look forward to their chosen fields as BS Mathematics students. Additionally, the project aims to inspire the students with the help of our resource speakers who have personally taken the path they wish to pursue.

Actuarial Science

Actuarial Science: The First Way to Ensure was conducted last January 7, 2022, from 1:00 – 4:00 in the afternoon. Mr. Fabia gave an exciting topic about Actuarial Science and being a Senior Manager in Actuarial and Analytics Division of Manulife Business Processing Services.

Game Development

Game Development: The Good of Games was facilitated by Mr. David Louie Roxas, a BS Mathematics alumnus and a Junior Game Developer at Dusk Waves Arts, LLC. He shared his knowledge on game development that caught students' attention and inspired them as well.

Statistics in the Real World: A Walkthrough

Mr. Se Sasota is a Senior Science Research Specialist, DOST-Science Education Institution, and Senior Lecturer. He discussed about the different statistical tools and treatment used in quantitative and qualitative research.

Extension / Outreach Programs

An extension program in Bungahan National Highschool entitled "Yakap at Pagkalinga ng Mathsoc sa Komunidad para sa mga Mag-aaral ng MCSHB- Bungahan" was organized on June 10, 2020, to assist pupils to cope-up in mathematics with the support of volunteer tutors from the Mathematics Society.

An outreach program at Ephesus was organized last 2019 to assist students in identifying mathematical principles that govern technology, as it will substantially benefit them in terms of becoming responsible and disciplined students at Bulacan State University.

An extension program of computer literacy at Panasahan and Santor Elementary Schools was held last 2019, to share information about the fundamentals of MS Office applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Paint with the younger generation and to train on how to teach.

ChristMathematics is an extension program being done by the Mathematics Society yearly, particularly a day in the Christmas season, where the organization extends a helping hand to a chosen beneficiary.

Relief Operation Program for those members and other beneficiary groups greatly affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine last June 2020

Financial Assistance

A donation drive was launched by the organization to give load assistance to the deserving students who are in need to continue their studies.

The Financial Assistance Project is an entry to the Facilitating Extension Responses in Education (FORE BulSU) done in order to support the volunteer tutors who are also members of the Mathematics Society in successfully fulfilling their duties.

The program has started during the second semester of the Academic Year 2019-2020 intending to support deserving BS Mathematics students in their education by providing them with financial assistance.
