Webinar Series 3.0

The Mathematics Society's primary purpose is to prepare students for their future. Thus, leveraging the necessary tools available to assist them in achieving their objective is one of the successful aspects for BS Mathematics students. This webinar series is a two-day online training session designed to provide students with new skills and information in preparation for their future careers.

The first webinar, "Shape your Future: GeoGebra for Optimization Problems," was held on June 19, 2021. The GeoGebra can assist BS Math students in comprehending mathematical ideas, problem-solving, and verifying solutions in statistics, probability, geometry, and other functions. With the help of Mrs. Rainilyn L. Duque, the students learned the fundamentals of this website. The second webinar, entitled "Equip Your Future: An Introduction to R Language and R Studio," was held on July 04, 2021. This webinar covered a statistical computing and data visualization language developed by statisticians that are frequently used by business analysts, data analysts, data scientists, and scientists. Mr. Arcel F. Galvez taught the students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Specialization in Applied Statistics on how they will use it in their future careers. And on the same day, a webinar entitled "Envision Your Future: Time Series Analysis and Forecasting" was held, which was also explained by Mr. Arcel F. Galvez. He taught the students how to evaluate time-series data using statistics and modeling to generate predictions and drive strategic decision-making.

Although the second and third parts of the webinar series were originally set for June 26, 2021, the Mathematics Society is dedicated to shaping, equipping, and envisioning the future of its' mathizens.
