SURPASS YOUR LIMITS --- This was the theme and goal of the public speaking seminar of the Mathematics Society held last October 30, 2019, at the CS Library. It was organized specially for the fourth-year students in preparation for their thesis defense.
The said event started at 9:00 in the morning until noon, with more or less 50 participants. The invited resource speaker is Ms. Mary Elaine C. Perez-Espela, an experienced public school teacher. She shared her experiences in public speaking. With her help, the participants gained tips and practice exercises on presenting themselves to the panelists or an audience.
Interactive group skit presentations from the participants made it better and friendlier. These simple presentations enabled them to surpass their limits and show their potential to an audience.
