Omohyoid m

One of the infrahyoid strap muscles of the neck, the omohyoid has two bellies (inferior and superior) connected by an intermediate tendon. The inferior belly attaches to the scapula (omo = shoulder), and the superior belly attaches to the hyoid (hyoid = hyoid). Innervated by the ansa cervicalis, the action of the omohyoid is to stabilize the hyoid bone.
