The cephalic or antecubital v. is a superficial vein of the upper limb.
It communicates with the basilic v. via the median cubital v. at the elbow. In the arm, the cephalic v. is located in the superficial fascia along the anterolateral surface of the biceps brachii m.
Superiorly, the cephalic v. passes between the deltoid and pectoralis major mm. in the deltopectoral triangle to empty into the axillary v.
