Faculty Collaborator: Katherine Tate
About:Â
Muhammad collaborated with Professor Katherine Tate to incorporate Data Science into her course on Public Opinion (POLS 1823H). Statistical analysis, visualization, and communication are crucial for understanding opinion and voter data in a democratic society. The ability to communicate this information to oneself or the general public supports the freedom of speech and journalism. One way Muhammad engaged with the course was by providing soft introductions to Tableau, arguably the most popular visualization software, through workshops held during lecture time. Further discussions and strategizing are planned to effectively deliver these new skills to fellow students.
