What to Bring:
1. Shadow a Student
Understand the school experience from the perspective of a student. As we discussed in the workshop, be intentional about who you choose to shadow as you continue to work toward equitable deeper learning in your school. Pick a day to shadow before our next workshop and get started.
2. Complete your Quick Wins
"Check on Student Safety Net" is the jumping off point for your Quick Wins. You can find the details of each Quick Win on the cards that you found in your goodie bag at the end of Workshop 1. We strongly encourage you to choose two other activities from the Quick Win cards you received in your School Retool goodie bag.
3. Select a Big Idea and share it
Your Hacker’s Companion (red, spiral bound booklet) contains 19 Big Ideas (Deeper Learning practices). Select one you’d like to experiment with- or “hack”- during the fellowship. Before workshop 2, send an email to the group to let us know what Deeper Learning Big Idea you’d like to explore.
1. Decide when you will spend the day shadowing a student and put it on your calendar
2. Choose your Big Idea and email it to the cohort
