Start by taking a photo of your face close up to use as your touch-up image. Your photograph needs to be high resolution so that you capture crisp detail. Use a class camera and not your cell phone. Shoot in soft but bright light. (not in shadow or under a dark overhang. You can stand, facing the window, in the hallway by the stairs and have someone photograph you there. The image needs to be zoomed in to include just your head and shoulders when the picture is taken. Shoot the photo zoomed in to the correct focal length so you don't have to crop after the fact.
Watch and work along with the Youtube tutorial: How to: SKIN RETOUCH in LESS than 10 MINUTES
Open your face photograph in Photoshop.
IMPORTANT: Duplicate the layer with your face photograph on it. Click on the eye symbol in the layers palette to hide the first face layer. You will save this layer for the very end.
Edit one of the two layers of your photo as described in the video
Crop your edited image to 8in x 10in at 300 ppi (resolution) and export/save with layers as a PSD file. Then export a JPEG file of the edited "you" and the "unedited you" and upload them to google classroom. You must save in JPEG format. Do not change the file name from .psd to .jpg. You have to SAVE AS a JPEG file.
TO DO NEXT: Read the article below and then complete the related worksheet available at the front of the classroom.
TO DO LAST: Download the sample image of a professional model below and, using the skills you learned editing your own photo, edit the image in Photoshop.

You can use the tutorial again or find a different tutorial. The goal is for a natural look, not too extreme, and to stay true to the actual "look" of the model. (let me know if you find a different skin-touch-up tutorial that works well)
When you are done, crop your edited image to 8 x 10 at 300 ppi and upload a copy of the edited model to google classroom. http://classroom.google.com
