We've all had different amounts of exposure and "training" on the skills we will be covering in your drafting classes. For starters, some of us may have been lucky enough to take drafting classes in Middle School or at another High School. It's important to get an assessment of where everyone is so that the curriculum can be adjusted to accommodate.
While the test should be taken seriously, it will not count toward your final grade. (although not completing the test will result in a negative score. It is mandatory). If you score 80% or higher you "pass." A score of 80% or less will require that you retake the test later in the term after some practice.
You aren't expected to know everything on this test so don't be concerned it if there are parts that are unfamiliar to you. We will all work through the test together in class before retakes.
