TO DO: Place your images into a google doc as outlined below. READ THROUGH ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.
1. Log into Google Docs at http://docs.google.com
2. Name your google doc something easy to recognize. The official "Mr. Bishoff format" is "ProjectName_ClassPeriod_FirstAndLastName."
For example: ScavengerHunt_8_ErikBishoff
3. Go to File > Page Setup...
4. Set your page setup properties as shown
Orientation - Landscape
Paper size - Tabloid (11" x 17")
Margins (inches)
Top 0.5
Bottom 0.5
Left 1
Right 1
Press "OK" to commit the changes
5. Go to Insert > Table and create a 5x4 table
Populate that table with the names of each scavenger hunt item. Make sure the text all fits on one line. (you will have to shorten the names from what they are on the prtinted sheet. See the image above to see what is required.)
6. After you are done with the scavenger hunt, if you haven't done so already, load all of your images into a folder on your desktop. I suggest making one called "scavenger hunt."
Your next steps are outlined below. You will then need to load ALL images into photoshop one at a time to crop them to 3" by 2" at 200 px/in.
You will then save the images as .jpg files to a separate folder on your desktop. I suggest making one called "edited scavenger hunt."
7. Use the crop tool to set the "W x H x Resolution" on each image to 3 inches wide by 2 inches tall at 200 px/in.
8. Each file needs to be saved as a .jpg file.
Go to File > Save As and follow the prompts to make the file a JPEG file.
Be sure to direct the save to your NEW "unedited" folder as discussed in step 6.
9. Follow the prompts to make each image Quality "8" "High" using a Baseline or "Standard" Format.
10. Once all images are sized and saved you can carefully drag each image into the corresponding box on your google sheet.
NOTE: The text needs to live at the bottom of the box. When you are dragging your images into the google doc be careful to drop the images to the left side of the text.
You may need to delete or retype part of the text. You can also delete the image by selecting it and hitting the "delete" key and then trying to place the image again if you need to.
