Artificial Intelligence
Since the release of ChatGPT by Open AI in November of 2022, the Bedford School District (BSD) has seen the impact of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in our schools. The District formed a committee to learn more about all types of AI, collect data, research, and ultimately develop a document to help our community, educators, and students understand the uses of generative AI. In addition, BSD has established guidelines for the use of generative AI as a supportive tool to teaching and learning. Artificial intelligence may be used ethically to support the growth of human intelligence (HI). HI is the District's top priority.
The following documents are available for a deeper understanding of AI and its use in the Bedford School District.
