Balodyan's Curriculum


First year of weekly classes (prathamaa kakShaa - Hindi / Marathi):

1) Learners learn to read and write Hindi / Marathi varNamaalaa (alphabet), maatraaeN (modification marks), simple words, sentences, and small picture books on topics such as family, colors, friends, house.

2) They learn to ask and answer questions (oral conversation) about themselves (name, age, where they live, school, grade), their immediate and extended family members, friends, likes (fruits, colors, food, animals, activities), dislikes, daily routine, weekly and weekend activities.


Second year of weekly classes (dvitiyaa kakShaa - Hindi / Marathi):

1) Learners learn to read and write simple Hindi / Marathi articles related to weather, vacation, travel, holidays, recipes, and small stories. They demonstrate their learning through reading aloud on Voicethread, and answering questions in writing / by typing.

2) They learn to ask and answer questions (oral conversation) about weather, vacation, travel, holidays, recipes, and small stories. They demonstrate their learning by participating in class conversations, video quizzes, video presentations, and making small e-books.


Third year of weekly classes (tritiyaa kakShaa - Hindi / Marathi):

1) Learners learn to read and write simple Hindi / Marathi articles related to current affairs, health, lifestyle. They demonstrate their learning through reading aloud on Voicethread, answering questions in writing / by typing, and by writing small essays on familiar topics.

2) They learn to ask and answer questions (oral conversation) about current affairs, health, lifestyle. They demonstrate their learning by participating in class conversations on familiar topics, video quizzes, video presentations, and making small e-books.
